An advice to marketers: What not to do on Twitter

Now that Twitter is (sorta) becoming a mainstream media channel; the past few years have seen celebs, movie houses and news channels adopting Twitter to ‘connect’ to the audience. But how good can Twitter itself prove when it comes to Direct Marketing? And that too by such shady means.

Often PR companies who give social media services as a package with their offline (print and digial) resort to tricks that act as quick fix solutions. Now this can come from lack of knowledge or desperation or both. What they fail to understand is that, the crowd online is a lot smarter than they think.

This is the list of the accounts that are in question.
